Premera Premier Provider Updates

The latest Premera Premier Provider (3P) designations are now available in the Find Care provider directory. Using Blue Cross Blue Shield Association data, 3P designation badges help members find providers who deliver high-quality care at a lower cost. Employers can also use the designations as a consistent approach to evaluate quality and affordability of providers across the country.

What You Need to Know

Updated annually, 3P designations are evaluated across 20+ specialties, including primary care and pediatrics. High-performing providers are awarded with one or both of the following designations:

• Affordability designation for cost performance
• Quality designation for quality and appropriateness performance

Designated providers may receive more visibility in Find Care search results for Premera Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alaska members.
