Flovent HFA Discontinued by GlaxoSmithKline

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has discontinued production of Flovent HFA.  Once current stock is exhausted, brand name Flovent HFA will no longer be available.

In response, Premera has expanded its formulary to include coverage for Fluticasone HFA (the generic for Flovent HFA), making it easier for patients to access the generic alternative during this time. Additionally, other preferred formulary alternatives in the same drug class as Flovent HFA include: Qvar Redihaler and Arnuity Ellipta. Please speak with your patients about this change and contact your Premera representative for any questions.
